The 20-year-old has already been practicing with the squad and will fill in for Damian "daps" Steele against 100 Thieves.
Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk is set to play for Gen.G in their match against 100 Thieves in ESL Pro League, taking the place of daps, who had announced his plan to step down from the team earlier in September.
Cxzi gained notoriety in North America through his performance in FPL and Rank S in 2019, although he also drew the ire of Joshua "steel" Nissan and other notable players due to a lack of experience in a team environment and his attitude towards the game.
The 20-year-old spent the following months working on those very issues as he competed on a handful of teams in ESEA MDL and ESEA Advanced to build his skillset, putting up above-average numbers. He also managed a 1.24 rating at Fragadelphia 13, helping Thunder Logic to a fourth-place finish in the offline tournament near the end of 2019.
Gen.G will hope for Cxzi's addition to have an immediate impact as the team currently reside near the bottom of the ESL Pro League Season 12 North America standings with a 1-2 record, with 100 Thieves presenting a considerable challenge as both teams look to earn their second victory.
Gen.G will field the following roster in their match against the Australian side:
Timothy "autimatic" Ta
Kenneth "koosta" Suen
Sam "s0m" Oh
Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand
Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk
Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit (coach)
