Gen.G and Complexity have claimed the two spots available in the closed North American qualifier for DreamHack Open Anaheim.
The team around Damian "daps" Steele, who for the first time had Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand playing alongside them as he has finally joined up with Gen.G in North America, advanced through the bottom part of the bracket.
There, they first went up against Joshua "steel" Nissan's Chaos in a three-map series before taking on Riot Squad. A huge performance on Dust2 from the Indonesian star (32-9, 2.35 rating) helped Gen.G secure a convincing series against the Pujan "FNS" Mehta-led side and clinch one of the two spots at DreamHack Open Anaheim.
After unsuccessful attempts in qualifiers for IEM Katowice and DreamHack Open Leipzig, Complexity tried their luck for the third time and came out on top of the other side of the bracket, first defeating INTZ 2-1 before making it through over eUnited in the semi-finals of the qualifier.
The completed team list for DreamHack Open Anaheim, which will take place on February 21-23, looks as follows:
