European Champions Cup team list set

OpTic, HellRaisers, Spirit and Heretics round out the European Champions Cup team list.

The last four teams invited to the European Champions Cup have been announced by the organizer, OpTic, HellRaisers, Spirit, and Heretics.

The six-stage $60,000 online tournament will kick off mid-September and run through November, when the top four teams will be flown out to Malta to play at a LAN Final with a separate, still to be announced prize pool.

HellRaisers are the only team of the last invited batch currently gearing up for their run at the Major, which they are set to kick off in Berlin on Friday against FURIA.

The Danes of OpTic, currently #20 in the world, recently secured a spot at ESL One New York after winning the GG.BET qualifier final against FORZE, while Heretics recently missed out on a chance to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 10 after losing a three map series to Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Rounding out the list is Spirit, the 29th ranked team in the world, who were recently knocked back down to MDL during the ESL Pro League relegation matches, also by Ninjas in Pyjamas.
