During a press conference this morning, Frag eXecutors members Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and the Mariusz "loord" Cybulski went on to apologize for what took place in the match against WeMade FOX.
Prior to their match against TyLoo, the two Frag eXecutors members sat down in the press room to officially apologize for what was written in the game against WeMade FOX yesterday, where Frag eXecutors lost 16-14 on de_inferno.
Mariusz "loord" Cybulski, who yesterday wrote "FUCKING CHINA" in the in-game chat after he had re-joined the server, as he had lagged out in the match against the South Koreans, started out by sending the following statement.
"First of all, I would like to say that I am too much emotional for sure. Secondly, I would like to apologize to the whole Chinese community for what I have done and what I have said."
Before the translator got to translate what Cybulski said, he finished off by saying "I am sorry" in Mandarin.
Afterwards he continued by saying:
"So if you really want to know what I thinking about China, is for me China is a different country, but for sure it is a cool place, and Chinese people are one of the most helpful people in the world for sure."
"I said it because I was mad what happened during the game, it broke our momentum, so we couldn’t get up again and we lost the game because of that."
"I did not want to offend somebody’s feelings, especially Chinese peoples, so I am really sorry for what I have done."
Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas also commented on what happened yesterday, explaining electronic sports is very emotional.
"Also everybody knows that electronic sports are also very emotional and sometimes when players are very involved in the game. The win is so great that you sometimes forget about important things like respecting the other countries and I think that for Frag eXecutors, we are very respectful for Chinese government, people and WEM. We can promise that i will not happen again."
For his behaviour, Mariusz "loord" Cybulski yesterday received a warning from the WEM organizers and in the WEM rulebook it is stated the following regarding sportsmanship:
Sportsmanship: All participating players are expected to show respect and display sportsmanship. A penalty will be given to any player who is unsportsmanlike by the WEM officials. Player can be disqualified for this reason.
Frag eXecutors are still in the running at World e-Sports Masters 2010, following their recent victory against TyLoo.
