Relive the highs and lows of the momentous occasion that was the last ever CS:GO Major.

The tale of CS:GO Majors ended in Paris, the conclusion of nearly 10 years of history. Eight teams battled it out in the playoffs in the Accor Arena, but ultimately it was the home favorites Vitality who reigned supreme to etch their names firmly in the history books.

Take a look through some of the best moments from the last ever Major playoffs in CS:GO, as captured by HLTV's Josip "brcho" Brtan and Radosław "MAKKU" Makuch (and a few shots from Zvonimir "Professeur" Burazin), and celebrate the final marquee spectacle of our game.

Legend of the game and fan favorite pashaBiceps cycled from Warsaw to Paris to support the Polish representation in attendance. Unfortunately 9INE were eliminated before he got there... Another legend of the game, kennyS, took to the stage in the Accor Arena to announce his retirement, bringing the curtain down on an epic career Into the Breach shocked the world by becoming the first UK core to make it to the playoffs of a Major GamerLegion arrive on the stage in Paris, ready to embark on what would become an historic run Monte's immense skill and fearlessness helped them make it to the arena Heroic arrived in the arena in Paris as heavy favorites to go all the way and take the trophy It wouldn't be a Major without some of our favorite showmen working the crowd Despite FaZe's best efforts, karrigan ended up looking on devastated after elimination Of course, apEX was not going to miss any chance to hype up his countrymen filling the arena Apeks were just one of the many underdog stories to come out of this Major, and STYKO took some time to enjoy the feeling of beating Liquid kuben, a legend of the game in his own right, was also understandably thrilled to make it all the way to the semi-finals Absolutely thrilled! GamerLegion managed to go one further than Apeks, smashing all barriers on their way to the grand final iM shares a heartfelt moment in celebration of GamerLegion's success Of course with underdogs winning, that means favorites are losing, and EliGE was in pieces after falling to Apeks Heroic's fall to GamerLegion was the most surprising of them all, and cadiaN cut a forlorn figure as he packed up to leave the stage The Accor arena was packed for the semi-finals With the Major finally cut down to only two teams, all eyes turned to the grand final, a matchup between David and Goliath The crowd was packed to the rafters throughout the weekend, and of course that continued for championship Sunday apEX takes a peek at the home crowd as his team prepares to make their entrance onto the stage The partisan crowd roared with delight as Vitality entered the arena for the final GamerLegion came into the final with all expectations against them, but they could already be hugely proud of their run iM was the catalyst for GamerLegion's underdog story, his superlative performances carrying the team all the way to the final Despite upsetting the odds for so long, GamerLegion couldn't quite take the final step and make the trophy their own Instead that accolade went to Vitality, completing a magical story that saw apEX and ZywOo secure the final CS:GO Major on home soil apEX couldn't fully contain his emotions after the match, and who can blame him? Head of Vitality Neo was also not immune to a few tears ZywOo and Spinx lift their first Major as apEX finally gets his second after eight years of grinding Whilst dupreeh secured a record-breaking fifth, he and zonic now hold a CS:GO record that can never be touched Seems dupreeh lost his mind with the excitement! Many hugs were shared between the Vitality camp and their loved ones The end, thank you CS:GO, for everything EuropeVitality #1 VitalityVitalityFranceDan 'apEX' MadesclaireDenmarkPeter 'dupreeh' RasmussenDenmarkEmil 'Magisk' ReifFranceMathieu 'ZywOo' HerbautIsraelLotan 'Spinx' Giladi DenmarkDanny 'zonic' Sørensen CroatiaZvonimir 'Professeur' Burazin Zvonimir 'Professeur' BurazinAge: 32 Team: No team Rating 1.0: 0.00 Maps played: 0 KPR: 0.00 DPR: 0.00
