The 2016 edition of Gamers Assembly is about to start, with 64 teams duking it out for €10,000 in cash prizes.
The Parc des Expositions de Poitiers, in western France, will play host once again to Gamers Assembly, one of the oldest and most important esports events in France, with Counter-Strike tournaments that go back to 2000.
Sixty-four teams, hailing from all over the country, will be battling it out over the next three days for their share of a €10,000 prize pool, with the winner earning half of that figure.

The tournament will kick off with two round-robin group stages, followed by the double-elimination playoffs with the remaining 16 teams. The best-of-three grand final, scheduled for Monday at 09:00 , will see the Upper Bracket winner have a one-map advantage heading into the match.

The entire tournament will be streamed in English and Russian, and talks are in place in potential Portuguese and Spanish streaming partners.
